| | Getting a paint scratch is very depressing. People spend a lot of money on cars and the appearance is hindered once your paint is scratched. Removing scratches and/or minimizing the scratch is the name of the game, but a little effort on your part is required. 1. Clean your exterior paint thoroughly. Use a professional car soap that has the strength to gut through the dirt and grime. Using a micro fiber wash mitt will help speed up the process and make sure you do not cause any further damage to your paint. 2. Dry your vehicle and make sure all dirt and debris have been removed. This will get your vehicle ready for the next step. 3. Use a car buffer preferably a variable speed buffer that has different speed settings. 4. Use a wool polishing pad This buffing pad is more aggressive and proves to be the best pad for scratch removal. 5. Apply rubbing compound to the outer edge and middle of the wool pad. 6. Press Pad against the paint before you start the buffer rub the wool pad over the scratch to spread the rubbing compound. 7. Turn on buffer and with setting around 1400 rpm. Keep the buffer moving back and forth over the paint scratch. 8. Wipe Off any remaining Rubbing compound with a micro fiber towel. 9. Repeat same steps using a foam buffing pad with a polish or swirl mark remover. 10. Wipe area with a micro fiber towel. 11. Buff entire car using a foam pad and a professional car wax. This will allow the paint to have a consistent shine. | Introductory Offer on Lane's 7" Variable Speed Buffer!!!
